Adding A New Resident

How to create a new resident in the Ally app.

Once on your Home's Residents page, you can add a new resident by pressing the New Resident button on the top right of the screen.

After you click the button, a window will open with a form to fill in to create the Resident account. You will need the resident's:

  • Full Name

  • Date of birth

  • NHS number

  • A Profile Photo (not required)

  • Which Home they are in (if you manage multiple homes)

  • Their room, from the list of available rooms

*Please note: If you do not see the option to add the resident to the correct room, this either means another resident is currently registered to the room, or the room has not been created in the app yet. Please see the following helpful links below if this is the case:

Lastly, you'll enter the Resident's Monitoring & Safety Settings. Selecting these will vary based on your Home's policies and the Resident's needs specifically. Please refer to our Selecting Monitoring & Safety Settings document for more information. Once these settings are entered, press the Complete button and the Resident will be created within the app.
