Care Team Training Documents & Videos

Updated over 8 months ago

This document details additional resources available to train your staff to use the Ally System.

Staff Training Documents

We recommend that these documents are to be placed in all staff areas to be easily accessible for agency or new staff to quickly learn how to use the system if other experienced staff are busy and cannot help them.

They may be best to be put into a ring binder folder or pinned up on a wall:

  1. Ally Information Sheet (PDF): A document giving an overview of what Ally is and the benefits to residents and staff.

  2. Ally Staff Room Notice (PDF): This notice is to be pinned to the wall to remind all staff to login and use the system.

  3. Ally User Manual (PDF): A 4 page quick read on how to use the system. Share with all staff. You can also reference the Monitoring Quickstart Article in this knowledge base

  4. Audio Review Guidelines: Guidelines on what common resident sounds staff may hear and whether they do or do not need to provide care. This information can also be found in this knowledge base.

We recommend having nominated Ally champions whose responsibility each shift is to ensure:

  1. All staff members are logged into the app at the beginning of the shift. This includes Agency staff who will need to login with a generic username and password known only to the Ally champions.

  2. Regularly check the monitoring is enabled for all residents alone in their rooms e.g. check at 10pm after personal care rounds at night

  3. Regularly check the app to ensure All staff are responding to the alerts.

Training Videos

These videos can be used on induction training of new permanent staff members. They can be accessed via these links:

  1. Ally - Introduction: A 5 minute video introducing the product and the benefits to residents and staff.

  2. Ally - Short Demo on How To Use the System: A 6 minute video introducing how to use the App and respond to the alerts.
